Suppose you write your e-mails with NEdit. This is a good idea, because you have all the powerful editing capabilities available that you need (formatting quotations, word completion, spell-checking with N-spell).
When writing a mail, your mail client will create a file on the disk temporarily with a certain name pattern like tmp followed by a random number. Once you finished writing the mail, the text is stored in the mail and the temporary file is removed from the disk. But unfortunately it is in the Open Previous menu of NEdit, thereby removing files from this menu that you really like to open later again. So, the use of the Open Previous menu is even destroyed by letting these e-mail files in. Here is the solution, just a tiny thing, but never got in either:
